Hi there
I have been living in Vancouver for 1.5 weeks now. On my last weekend I checked out the nightlife of Van and made a trip to Stanley Park which was lovley. Some class mates and me hired bikes and drove around and through the park.
We (friends and me) are thinking of going to Vancouver Island in October. Refering to my host-mother going on a longer trip in October could be our last good chance to have nice weather. She suggested to do this trip as early as possible. It is a well known fact that the raining season will start soon in Vancouver. This trip is going to be much longer than the one to the park. On one hand the Island is much bigger and there are many things to see. On the other hand the Island is quite far away and it wouldn't pay off to travel such a distance to be there for only one day. Therefore we are even considering to miss one day in school to make this extraodrinary voyage lasting a bit longer.

Oh my good, please do not miss a day of school, that would be so hazardous for your future. I'm sure you will be devastated by the beauty of vancouver island. But be aware, there are perilous animals like bears in the forest and ochsis creeping arround. Futhermore there may be obese women waiting to flatten you. So keep up the good formal english, but do not forget the english we will speak once you are back and passed your bludy exam! =) Take anough pennys to go whale watching, even though I saw near enough nothing, but you might be a lucky boy! Victoria is defenetely a must see town an Tofino is heaven on earth, thats where I saw the bear! And nice biches, sorry, beaches (terrible writing). And don't do like it would be lightyears away, rent a car and get over there!!! Like the aussies would say, hey bugger, it's just a short one. Miss you mate and take care.
